Irish Mist

And Hargrove's beautiful painting, "Irish Mist" is a reflection of the relationship between nature and those who people it. It’s early morning, and the mist has not yet lifted. The slow-moving river itself seems to be sleeping, as attested by the near mirror reflections of the trees. Evidence of human habitation is subtle: a rowboat moored to the midground shore and a rutted dirt path in the foreground. Who would  not love to picnic along the riverbank on a day like today?
